Service provider
CheapWork Secure Messenger (also called cwsecure) is operated by CONVRO LTD, registered in England and Wales (company number 17444294), 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. These Terms govern the website at cheapwork.stream, its messenger and installed web application. Contact: [email protected].
By creating an account after being shown these Terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled; it is a notice, not a request to waive your rights.
Accounts and access
You must be at least 16, meet any higher minimum age applicable where you live, and have the legal capacity or required permission to use the service. Provide information you are entitled to use. Keep your password and device access secure and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised use.
Your generated contact number is an identifier within the messenger, not a telephone number. You control who receives it. Your password protects your account identity; we cannot recover a forgotten password or reconstruct message history whose local keys have been lost. Do not share your credentials or impersonate another person.
Permitted use
Use the service lawfully and respect other people’s rights. You must not distribute unlawful content, exploit or endanger children, threaten or harass others, commit fraud, send unsolicited bulk messages, distribute malicious software, or use the service to infringe privacy or intellectual property rights.
Do not attack infrastructure, bypass access controls, interfere with delivery, scrape account identifiers at scale or attempt to access accounts or information without authorisation. Good-faith security research must avoid accessing other people’s information or disrupting the service; contact us before testing that could affect others.
Your messages and content
You retain your rights in the content you send. You grant us only the limited permissions necessary to transmit, temporarily store and otherwise handle that content to provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy. You must have the rights and permissions needed to send it.
Message content and supported attachments are encrypted on participating devices. Delivery still requires technical account and routing information. Message timers control removal within the service; recipients can keep copies or screenshots. Protect your device and verify contacts when appropriate. Technical details are available on the Security and Protocol pages.
Availability and changes
We operate and maintain the service with reasonable care and skill. We may update features, apply security measures or temporarily interrupt access for maintenance, faults, abuse prevention or legal requirements. We will give reasonable notice of material changes when practicable, except where urgent action is needed to protect the service or comply with law.
The messenger is not an emergency communications service. Features and limits described in the app apply. Current access does not create an obligation to purchase anything; any future paid service will require separate pricing and applicable purchase terms before a charge is agreed.
Suspension and closure
You may stop using the service at any time and request account closure by contacting us from a channel that allows us to verify your request. Signing out removes access on that browser; it is not the same as deleting an account or deleting another participant’s copies.
We may restrict or close an account where reasonably necessary because of serious or repeated violations, a security threat, unlawful activity or a legal obligation. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will explain the action and allow you to contact us for review. Retention after closure is described in the Privacy Policy.
Service rights and liability
The service software, branding and website materials belong to CONVRO or their respective licensors. These Terms give you permission to use the service, not ownership of its software or branding. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory consumer and data-protection rights remain unaffected. For consumers, we are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law. You remain responsible for your own unlawful conduct and for losses you could reasonably avoid by securing your account and device.
If you use the service for business, to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or business interruption. Our aggregate contractual liability for that business use is limited to the greater of GBP 100 and the fees you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months, except for liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited.
Law, complaints and revisions
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law of your habitual residence or your right to bring proceedings in courts available to you under applicable law. The courts of England and Wales otherwise have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Please send complaints and questions to [email protected].
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the service or legal requirements. We will identify the revision date and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. If an additional agreement is legally required, simply publishing revised Terms does not replace it.
